KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes the Younger, 77/6-66 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.22 g, 12 h), Artaxata, circa 69/8. Draped bust of Tigranes the Younger to right, wearing five-pointed Armenian tiara decorated with a comet and tied with a diadem. Rev. [BA]ΣIΛE[ΩΣ] - TIΓPANOY Palm branch; to lower left, H; to lower right, monogram. Kovacs 151. Very rare. Minor flan faults and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of an Armenian businessman, acquired before 2021, ex Leu Web Auction 15, 27-28 February 2021, 672 and previously from an important collection of Armenian coins.
